As the weather warmed up beautifully last week, our Scotts Park Orion Little Stars could not wait to spend time outdoors!

The outdoor garden has been a hive of activity, showcasing some brilliant teamwork as the children helped each other pump water around our fantastic water wall, something that needed great collaboration and focus!

Once the water wall fun was complete, the children moved on to the water tray for some caring play, and gave the babies a good wash. The children enjoyed a filling and pouring challenge using jugs, something that is great for their understanding of capacity and developing their fine motor skills.

Inside the classroom, we have carried on with our Christmas activities. with the children making beautiful holiday decorations!

The highlight of the week was the cheesecake making session. The children enjoyed measuring the ingredients, mixing, and stirring everything together. Not only was it a great practical maths and science activity, but it resulted in a delicious treat for all the staff to eat. 

We have all had a fabulous week of learning, playing, and making memories!
