A Week of Festive Creativity and Wonderful Nativity Practice!
Handprints, Sparkles, and Stage Presence: Celebrating a Busy Week
The holiday spirit is well and truly alive in our Orion Little Stars Scotts Park Nursery! Last week, our children embraced their creative side, pouring heart and soul into making their own Christmas decorations.
Crafting Christmas Magic
A highlight of the week was the creation of personalised Christmas calendars. The children loved painting their own hands to create unique, wonderful designs—a brilliant activity for developing tactile sensory experiences and personal expression. This was followed by a frenzy of tree decorating, where they utilised a wide array of our beautiful resources, focusing on fine motor skills, selection, and pattern.
Outdoor Explorations and Learning
The fun didn’t stop indoors! We enjoyed a great session in our popular mud kitchen, encouraging imaginative role-play. We also incorporated valuable learning in the water tray, filling and pouring with mesmerizing green sparkly water. Using different sized jugs allowed the children to naturally explore and grasp concepts of capacity and comparison in a fun, sensory way.
